Peralta Trail

A few Saturdays ago we went on a great hike! It was a great day & we had so much fun. The kids loved it. Kali was king of the mountain, Drew got a little cactus in his sweet little hand, Brig just chilled on mom & dad's back he found a stick so it was all good! McCall's enthusiasm made the hike so much fun. We took pictures of everything until the camera died. It is soo green here right now since we have had some crazy great rain the last few months. We can't wait to go back and pick some wildflowers. I am so glad my kids love the outdoors, they can't wait to go back. But we better hurry before it gets too hot! If you haven't done this before it is a MUST!

A DOW...... A DOW !!!

Brig is only 15 months & doesn't really talk at ALL, maybe we get an occasional mama, dada, nonono but the other day he was out back, which he loves to play out back in our 70 weather... anyway I picked him up to bring him in the house and he yelled " A DOW A DOW" which I translated to a down a down.. maybe that is what he said or it was just him yelling at me... either way I claim that he talked & am still so happy that he maybe said something.
Maybe he might start talking if we could get the stinking binky out of his mouth.. Scott tried to do an official binky strike... which lasted all of 1 day, in hopes that he'll start talking a little bit but I love it and think he is perfect just the way he is! For now he can point and grunt all he wants... it gets him what he needs doesn't it???
1 grunt means bottle
2 grunts means binky
1 loud yell means either food, no, your bugging me, I want to stay outside...
the possibilities are endless. but we figure it out somehow.
for now we'll just keep laughing while it is still cute!

My #1 girl

Kali is so sweet & soo fun! I just ran across some pictures from Christmas a WA that I forgot about of Kali & I started thinking about how sweet she is & how much fun she is to be around. She is only 6 and everyone thinks she is at least 7 ! She is a head taller than the rest of her class, super mature for her age and sometimes I forget that she is still my little girl. She is at a fun age where she still wants to be a girly girl but it is fun for her to be a bit of a tomboy. When we go camping or do anything outdoorsy she lets her tomboy side some out. Yesterday I asked her what she wanted to wear & she said ummm, I'll be sporty today.

She is such a great big sister & is my right hand. She is a little mom to both her brothers... always wanting to carry Brig & feels the need to be a bit bossy to Drew... she loves being the sister.
I love that I have a little girl & best friend to do everything with.I have been thinking how much I have always hated not having a sister.... we'll to this point Kal doesn't have one either... She loves to talk in her bed at night and just chat about our day, I guess that might be a bit like sisters..
We are so much alike that it is a little scary, we love to sing, dance & cook along with everything else. Just ask Scott. Oh I love her so much!!!! She is a wonderful daughter & friend. How lucky am I to have so much fun with her.
Love you Kali girl!

When mom's away little brig will play

Today I left the house for honestly 2 minutes.. Scott was upstairs and the kids were watching a movie (NO help I know), I ran to the end of our street to meet my saving grace, my dear friend Debbie to get some sour cream for dinner... long story short this is what I came home too.

And when I tried to take away the marker this was his response..... I love how he tries to hid the marker behind his back.

I think he believes if he smiles real big then I will let him keep it, but then I realized that he had been sucking on the marker.. red # 40 anyone??

How could you ever get upset with this cute little boy & his cute funny faces? This is his new posed smile for everything & I totally love it!

Personality Color

Take this test!

You're green, the color of growth and vigor. Good-hearted and giving, you have a knack for finding and bringing out the best in people. Green is the most down-to-earth color in the spectrum — reliable and trustworthy. People know they can count on you to be around in times of need, since your concern for people is genuine and sincere. You take pride in being a good friend. For you, success is measured in terms of personal achievement and growth, not by status or position. Rare as emeralds, greens are wonderful, natural people. It truly is your color!

I took this silly test not sure what color I would be and I am pretty surprised. Honestly it makes me feel good that the test thinks I am such a nice person..... hahaha

Beloved President Hinckley

Sunday night as we were at my parent house for my step-dads birthday the phone rang and we were told the news that President Hinckley had just passed away only a few minutes prior. I have thought about this day for a few years. What would I do? How would I feel? And honestly as much as I will miss him I can only feel the same joy that most of us feel, happiness for him & his sweet wife. Sister Hinckley died almost 4 years ago while I was still in the hospital after Drew was born. I cried much more that day than I did Sunday because my heart went out to dear President Hinckley. Now they are together again and that makes me happy. I am so grateful for his love, example, kind words and kindness. I never thought I could love a man so much and never have met him but some how consider him a great friend. He was the Prophet that we grew up listening to and learning from. I am so grateful to have learned so much from him. When he spoke he had a way of making you feel it was meant for you. I remember once when we were at Conference he waved his cane and it was like he was saying hi to ME. I was thrilled and it made my day, as funny as that may seem. I truly loved him. I feel like he has prepared us for President Monson.
We thank thee O God for a Prophet!
Be Grateful, Be Smart, Be Clean, Be True, Be Humble, Be Prayerful.

Honey.... Happy Birthday- Happy Anniversary!!!

On December 8th 1980 10:03 pm a sweet baby BOY weighing 8lbs 12oz was born to Duncan & Carol Biddle. Born radiating goodness this sweet baby brought much love into their home. Through out his childhood and teenage years his wholesomeness, goodness & sweetness grew. Well he grew, and he grew, and he grew.. he grew into my husband and I couldn't be more grateful! Since he has just turned 26 I would like to name 26 of my favorite things about him...
1. His testimony and love for the Gospel & Jesus Christ.
2. His love for me
3. Hard work ethics
4. His funny laugh
5. He is my best friend
6. One of my favorite thing is that he never complains about a dirty house, unfolded laundry, a wife still in her jammies at 6pm, no dinner on the table and that he is always willing to pitch in and help.... there are no his or her jobs in our house and that is the best!
7. He loves camping, skiing, snowboarding, hiking.. the outdoors
8. I love that the only rebellious thing he has EVER done in his life is bleach his hair when he was 16 AND the fact that he still feels guilty about it!
9. I love his dedication to everything... he never gives up even when I think that he should.
10. loves me especially when I am pregnant... ( NOT THAT I AM..... yet!)
11. I can never stay mad at him
12. His love for his MOMMY
13. I love when he tries to sing.... sorry honey but you can't hold a tune.. he usually tries to sing in a hick voice.... something everyone must hear at least once in your life! You will forever hear it in your head and always have a smile on your face.
14. He wasn't upset when he got his mission call to Tempe, Az ( he pronounced it TEMP) and he loved every minute of it.. he was a great missionary and followed EVERY rule.... his mom wasn't happy on Christmas when he said he only had 4 minutes left and he couldn't go over at all.
15. He does not judge others.. including me.
16. Since we have known each other since we were 14 & 15 I love that I can say that he has always been like this.. I know everything about him ( he doesn't care that I am older.. HA)
17. He is a great dad!
18. A wonderful husband
19. He has NO enemies... Everyone Scott meets loves and respects him.
20. Love that he will always volunteer me for anything.... and I usually find out last minute.
21. I love that he is mechanical... really an important quality
22. His desire to be a better person & successful
23. I love that he is innocent
24. He is the most honest person I know or have EVER met!
25. I still miss him when he is gone and can't wait for him to get home.
26. I love LOVE love that there are still soooo many more things that I love about him! I am grateful that he is so amazing and the list could go on and on.
I feel like such a lucky wife, I am not sure if I show this enough but I should and will.. I hope everyone feels the same way about their husband because life is pretty crappy when you don't. He is everything I have always wanted. His parents have raised a wonderful man and I am so grateful for them...
Today marks 2 years that we have been married. It really seems like longer but maybe it's because we have known each other for so long. Anyway, I am glad that life is so great with Scott because I wouldn't want it any other way. Happy Birthday & Happy DAY !!!

ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Lights!

Yesterday was Zoo Lights, my grandpa's tradition is to go to Red Devil Pizza in Phoenix & then out to Zoo Lights and our whole family loves it. Brig tried soda for the 1st time and drank it through the straw (a big milestone) the pizza is great so if you are ever in Phoenix & need a good place to get something to eat stop by..
The kids love to go and grandma & grandpa get the kids hot chocolate and our kids LOVE hot chocolate!!! You have no idea.. they live for it. The lights are amazing and so is the company. The holiday hustle and bustle is a little too much for this mama, I am always worried that someone is going to snatch one of my kids.... yes I am a worry wart. But the night was great, Drew was out in about 15 minutes, slept the whole time. Brig was so excited with all the lights, he kept waving his arms and kicking his legs & Kali was off in 2 seconds after we got there with her favorite cousin McKenna. My uncle Dave is always fun to bring along... he may look special but really he is just a BIG DORK... Between him & my brothers every event is funny. They love to torture the kids.. Scott ( my brother) kept giving Brig lemons, oddly Brig liked them & when Scott got no reaction out of him he tried to pour salt on them... what a great uncle...
We went to the Stingray exhibit and touched the stingrays...not something that I would recommend if you don't like fast, slimy, swimming creatures. They totally freaked me out, I actually screamed!
I love that Christmas brings family all together. Thanks Grandpa & Grandma for the fun night & great memories.

The Grinch Who Stole Christmas!!!

Christmas is my favorite time of year... in November we put up our tree.. well a tree that my little brother gave us as part of the "tree of lights" celebration that the new hospital put on. They had extra tree's so my brother called Scott & said if you want a free tree come get it! So that he did... about 1 week later Jeff was then able to sell the tree for $600.00... so literally the "GRINCH" stole our Christmas Tree! It was a lovely tree all set up and decorated! But don't worry this story has a HAPPY ending! 2 nights ago we got a REAL tree!!! set it up and our house smells wonderful!!!!!! and Jeff bought it for us!!! HA... no worries! Who wants to store a FAKE tree all year long anyway??? I wish I had pictures of both trees! But here is our fun night! Sunday before last we had our family night and made our own Christmas ornaments, Kali; the worlds CUTEST snowman, Drew; after wiping his off 100 times asked me to make him a candy cane & Scott; his favorite memories of Christmas are in McCall Idaho ( favorite memories BEFORE he married me... of course!) I still need to have Brig make a cute little design of his own.. what could that be???
Brig was not gonna take crap from nobody! He wanted his lights and that is FINAL
Drew attempted to put the Star on the tree but was too scared that he would fall. So he told sissy she could do it.
Kali was soooo excited that our tree was decorated & thinks it's the best tree EVER!
Mom & Dad were just happy it is over & glad to go to BED!
Hope your tree brings you as much joy as ours does.
Merry Christmas!

Santa Pictures

Scott, Brooks, Taylor, Sydney & McCall in 200???

Grandma Carol's only request is that her children & grandchildren take "Pictures with Santa" a life long family tradition. Courtney, Mike & Paige were in town for 10 days..... 8 days out of the 10 it RAINED!!! Crazy I know we had family pictures planned & the rain foiled our plans but luckily the mall is indoors & we were off to a Christmas picture for Grandma! The kids were great & Brig wasn't TOO scared of Santa! Christmas is my FAVORITE time of year!!! Notice Scott hasn't aged much??? What a cutie!!!

The "real" concept of money !!!

So last week I found a small trail of shredded money and then a pile in the trashcan! What in the world??? So then I went to ask the 2 darlings what was going on... only to find Drew in tears! Telling me that Sissy won't give him one of her monies.... so Drew thought that it would be best to get rid of his monies & Sissy would have to give him hers... If only that was how it worked!!! Needless to say it was a great day! Drew learned that if he shreds & throws away money then he will no longer have any. I wish it were that simple. I love how Drew thinks!
