Missing Uncle Feffy!

My Brother Jeff left a few weeks ago on his mission to Porto Alegre Brasil/Brazil, life just isn't the same with Jeff gone! The MTC is having some type of problems getting Visa's into Brazil so he gets to go to Provo for a little while, and then he'll get to go to the Brazil MTC. I look forward to his emails & letters. Last week I got a letter to Ash, Kali, Scott & 3 little turkeys! He also asked me if I was going to have another baby anytime soon, (mind you Tagg is ONLY months!) It totally made my day because yes they are 3 LITTLE TURKEYS!!!! Jeff is one of those guys that you just fall in love with. He is the most gentle person you'll ever meet. Before he left he took this Elderly couple to the Temple every week and did a session with them. He looked so forward to going with them and LOVES Sister Peterson's Quirky works that she says.. His all time favorite is NINCOMPOOP. Just the thought of that word and he starts laughing!
Here are just a few of the things that I am going to miss about him!
* His super funny personality.. he's either really happy or you bug the CRAP out of him.. (Only family can really appreciate this!) Kim (our step-dad) and Jeff have a LOVE / HATE relationship but deep down I know they really appreciate & respect each other. I'm not sure how long it will take for both of them to admit this but I am sure they are going to miss each other and their daily banterings.. that would usually end up in them wrestling.. a little too hard! They have a good relationship.. they take care of each other.
* His willingness.. Jeff is the Brother that will do ANYTHING for you at the DROP of a hat!
* His closeness to my kids! In fact Drew just walked in and said I MISS Uncle Jeff.. and started crying! A few months before Jeff left he took the kids for a picnic to the park and they LOVED it. I think it might have been to impress a girl but nonetheless it REALLY impressed my kids and they feel really close to him.
* Just Jeff being here!
I love that even though I am the OLD sister I still have a great relationship with my brothers. There is a family ritual I guess you could call it, I help all my brother pack before they leave on their missions. It usually happens about 2 am and takes FOREVER, but Jeff was super easy! He fit everything into 1 suitcase!.. and a backpack. I know he'll be a great missionary because he is a true go-getter, he has a strong testimony of the Gospel and loves people. He is a great example to all of his friends and family. Since being in the MTC he has already designated himself as the mediator with a few missionaries. Even though one of the missionaries was annoying Jeff said he still deserved to be treated kindly and in fact likes the annoying guy! Funny to me!
Jeff thanks for your example and all your sacrifice to go serve as a full time Missionary! We are here to support you 100% and all look forward to coming to get you in less than 2 years! Love you!

1st day of school!

Kali and Drew started school last week. They were so excited! Drew was going to only go half day but when I went to get him at lunch time he said that he thought he could handle ALL day! So he went and now he says that ALL DAY is SOOO boring! I am sure he's being extra dramatic, plus he likes eating lunch with his friends!

Kali was a little nervous but really wanted to go back to school this year. She instantly met her new "Best Friend" Emily and they have SOOO much in common! Infact I didn't know that Kali could be more similar to a kid.
They are both loving school and their teachers. Drew has a little crush on his teacher. He's already given her a thank you note for being such a great teacher!

Michael Jackson

Tonight while I was making dinner, Kali was helping feed Tagg, we were listening to Michael Jackson. I have not really listened to him but IN LOVING MEMORY we have been this week and I have realized that I REALLY LIKE HIS MUSIC!!!!
So we start playing the "who sings this song game". Of course are ALL Michael Jackson but Kali didn't know. Then with all the innocence of a 7 year old little girl she asks, Mom, did he sing this song when he was Black or White?

DR CALLED AND TAGG'S HEAD IS INFACT "NORMAL"....STILL HAS A LITTLE RASH AND WAITING FOR THE BLOOD RESULTS... I AM PRETTY SURE HE'S GONNA BE OK.

head x-ray, blood draw & a rash

So today I took Tagg to what I thought would be a "normal" dr's visit. I had my little piece of paper with what was going on lately and I left there with 2 papers.. 1 for a head x-ray and the other for him to get blood drawn! The only funny thing about all of this was I read the paper for the x-ray imaging office and the dr. had written "misshaped head".. really does my baby have a strange head? I men I know it is rather large but is it really "misshaped"?
The poor little guy didn't like any part of the day.. he fell asleep right before his x-ray and was rudely woken up.. then 3 strange ladies were holding and prodding his arm, while I held his as tightly as I could.. and to top it all of he has a rash over his body!
Let's hope everything turn out ok and that is rash is heat rash or something "normal"!!!

Speaking to Jesus

Drew is at his dad's for his summer visitation.. and let me tell you I CAN'T WAIT FOR HIM TO GET HOME!!!! I miss that kid so stinkin' much! If you know him you know he's really funny. So last week I was talking to him on the phone and he was telling me about what he has been doing.. He told me how he had just gotten home from swimming and this HUGE slide he went down.. and then he started whispering... "Mom, I had to speak to Jesus... so that he could save me! The water was so deep I thought I was going to drown."
The best part was hearing him say, " I had to speak to Jesus..." he almost said it in a southern twang.

I am glad Drew spoke to Him and that he was saved... What would I do with out my Drew?

100% ooey gooey goodness!

This sweet little boy will make you wish you were deaf when you hear him scream but he sure is cute! I mean come on.. look at those rolls! he's got quite the cute cheeks, and I mean BUMMY cheeks! In this picture he's 3 months but he just turned 6 months on June 15th.. I can't believe how quickly time flies!
I sure enjoy being a mom... to all 4 of my cute kiddo's

In need of a BIG catch up....

So life is a LITTLE crazy right now...
I am not sure why but I never have the time to blog!!! I LOVE reading everyone else's but when it comes time to do it myself... what a drag...
So I should be in bed right now because Scott is on his High Adventure Camp-out with the YM and I haven't slept more than 5 hours a night since he's been gone but I decided it is time for a MUCH NEEDED post...
so here goes a little catch up

Summer has officially began here in SUNNY AZ, we swim at least once a day.. it is getting mighty hot!
Scott... sadly & unfortunately NO LONGER works for US Airways.. (saddest thing EVER.. for me.. he's glad.. for some CRAZY reason!) He's now full time landscaping again and I am happy because he really only has to work about 3 days a week! He wishes it were more.. but I like having him around!

Me.. busy busy busy with my fun little kids... glad that soccer is almost over.. so we can do fun summer things like CAMP!!! YEAH!!! MY kids LOVE LOVE LOVE to camp and I love to see them so different and happy! Ready to chill by the pool and eat watermelon and I am really excited for UTAH peaches.. just a little bit longer

Kali- growing like a weed! She's my little helper and great little friend.. we just moved.. 1 street over and she is LOVING this cul-de-sac every day they are playing with the "NEW" friends and forming new "CLUBS"... She's almost done with Soccer and has done really good this season. She is into creating lists for all the fun things we'll do the next day... the list's arent too long otherwise I am held accountable.. HA

Drew is totally 5! WOW!!! He still LOVES his bike and wants to ride it EVERY day! He's such a sweet little boy. He's super sensitive and he's actually a really good helper with Tagg. He loves to hold him and make him laugh. He's been the best GOALIE this season and is a little sad that his season will be over soon. He's gone to his dad's for his summer visit and I couldn't miss him more.. Sad mama here but I can't wait to kiss his little freckles!

Brig... is the funniest thing you'll ever meet! he's 2 going on 10.. seriously! he won't potty train or give up the binky.. what's a mom to do? Just yesterday we were in the car and his dad... (love him) put his carseat in but some how when I turned the corner so did his carseat... with his binky totally in his mouth he yells.. MINE FALLING MINE FALLING!!! (translation.. I'm falling I'm falling) seriously the funniest thing ever.. in fact I am still laughing just thinking about it.. he's SUPER fun and I am in love with his personality and age

Tagg.. is the sweetest little baby.. that is when he's not crying because he's hungry and needs to be held! oh baby! he weighs 21 pounds and is only 5 months old. He is wearing 12 month clothing and I am loving his fat right now. he's just starting to try baby food.. not too into it but he'll eat it 1 time a day.. maybe.. he prefers his mommy! I don't mind, he just gives me a reason to sit down and relax a little bit.. Thanks Tagg for looking out for me!

Kali-ism

Today we were in the car and Talk Radio was on.. I wasn't really listening and I didn't think Kali was either... They were talking about something.... I heard SERIAL KILLER and changed it. Then about 10 seconds later Kali asks, "Mom, what's a SERIAL KILLER??? Is that someone who kills cereal?"

I laughed a little and then said no honey... They usually look like... well they have short brown hair, usually have blue eyes, wear a blue shirt and brown shorts..(describing what Scott was wearing) Kali's eyes got real big and looked over & said "but MOM that's what DAD is wearing"

Luckily I was able to make a joke out of it but what do you tell a 7 yr old a Serial Killer is??? Seriously, I think I will be listening a little closer to the radio!
I still chuckle a little when I think of what was going through Kali's mind....

Kali is so cute! I love her to pieces!!!! Today while the boys were asleep I decided we needed to do a little photo shoot! I have been "spring cleaning" and need to update my pictures in my house... I have a bunch of Kali pictures but not so many of her alone... she's usually kissing or holding one of her brothers! So today we did a little make up and took some pictures. I wish I were as cute and photogenic as her!!! She is just ADORABLE!!!!

This last Sunday was Tagg's blessing. Scott did a wonderful job. i can't wait to write how the day was but for now Tagg needs me and this picture will have to do.

Babysitter FIRED!!!

Today I went with my mom for lunch, Feb 5th is the day that my brother Ben was in his car accident. So we went to lunch to spend some time together in memory of Ben-o. It is always nice to get out and spend "quality time" with my mom. Even if it's just running errands or getting lunch it always seems to me to be a treat.
Scott had the kids, the plan was to go for a nice LONG bike ride to Agritopia park and to stop by the dog park on the way home. Yesterday when we went to the store he let them get their very own lunchable, I NEVER let them get those but when I saw their happy faces showing me what dad let them get how could I say no? So Drew had a plan, a picnic, and indeed that is what they did. I checked in and they were having a GREAT time. Scott is amazing and always knows how to have a good adventurous time.
I called to let them know I was on my way home but Scott didn't answer so I called the home phone and low & behold it was Drew who answered, said dad was taking a little nap on the couch & they were just having fun!
HAVING FUN? Hmmmm what does that mean???

Angel Mother-Amazing Granny

I owe so much thanks to my Wonderful Mom. When I went to have Tagg she took the kids and took excellent care of them, make waffles and hot chocolate for breakfast, bathed and made sure they were nicely dressed.. maybe she had them brush their teeth.. maybe not but they had so much fun with Granny. I'm not sure if they even missed me the 2 days I was in the hospital.
Monday Dec. 15th was a crazy day... My mom is now half way done with her Chemo but the 15th was her 3rd treatment. The plan was for me to get induced early enough and she would be able to be there when Tagg was born and spend some time with him. Well I at the hospital at 3am but Tagg was not born until 2:12pm. He was sunny side up and Dr Beck thought originally that he would be born in just a few (short) hours. After Dr Beck turned the baby I dialeted from a 6 to a 10 in about 15 minutes and Tagg was born in just 2 or 3 minutes. Scott called my mom and told her to hurry and get to the hospital... I tried to stall as long as possible... the hospital bed wasn't working.. so that took a good 10 minutes to figure out... Unfortunately my mom ran into the room right as Dr Beck walked out the door. With tears in her eyes she told me she tried to hurry. The great thing was she got to spend a little time with him before she had to run to her hospital and get her lovely 24 hour hospital stay Chemo. With all that she has gone through these last few months I can't help but admire her even more now. She offered to have us stay at her house after Tagg was born so that she could help out with the kids and spend time with the baby. We stayed for 10 great days. I believe this has been my best recovery because of her. What would I do with out such a wonderful mom? This Christmas I have thought about all that i am grateful for and her example is on the TOP of my list. Thanks Mom.

Tagg is 12 days old and I took a few pictures today he is simply the cutest baby! He has made my Christmas wonderful this year, I couldn't have asked for a better present. He's a GREAT baby. He only cries when he is hungry, he hates a diaper change but I can't blame him... he doesn't like his little bummy to be cold. I have to admit his sleeping schedule is MUCH better than Brig's was... Tagg actually sleeps during the night and Brig didn't! We LOVE that difference! He's just as cute in person!

So here's a little SNEAK peak of this cute little bundle of JOY! He arrived Monday Dec 15th 2:12pm 8lbs 11oz 21in long. His chubby cheeks are delicious.. trust me I have tried them!!! We're doing great and so happy that he's here. I'll post more pictures when I get them all uploaded.

Can't wait for DECEMBER 15th!!!

Today was a wonderful day! well if my day started at 2:10pm it was a wonderful day.. never mind the morning and early afternoon... these kids.. I tell ya! I love em' but my goodness!!!
So the WONDERFUL part of the day began as I said at 2:10, we arrived at the WORLDS BEST DR.'s. Oh how I just love my O.B. ( Scott doesn't like any kind of O.B. so needless to say he's not too fond of him... but I love him and that's all that matters... right?) So today was my last ultrasound before the baby was born and Scott was supposed to go with us but got held up at a Christmas light job so I showed up with all 3 kids.. A little nervous on how everything would turn out but then Scott called and said that he was on his way... a little late but he would be there. I was so excited because I can't wait to meet this baby! While we were waiting Dr. Beck did the most thorough ultrasound I have ever had. This little guy has a head that is measuring 39 weeks and 6 days! I am 37 weeks today! YIKES! everything else is measuring big too. He is really cute and looks a lot like Brig just chubbier. We were able to see him so well because this time we did the 3D ultrasound and man what a difference that makes. So I am glad to report that he is health and well.. but the BEST part is that I am getting induced on December 15th!!!!
You have no idea the joy that this brings to me! No more worrying if he'll come on Christmas. I am dialted to a 2 and 50-60% effaced. Maybe he'll come before my induction, if so then I will be even more thrilled but at least I know he'll be here by the 15th. HAPPY ARE WE!

Happy Birthday Brig!!!

Today Brig turned 2. Still hard to believe. He had a fun day filled with playing at the park, playing at home with friends & playing with family. We did pizza for dinner & a yummy cake decorated with Thomas the Train... his favorite thing in the world.. besides his new... BIKE. We were just going to get him a cheap little walmart thingy but look how much he loves this!




He is thrilled that it has a little cubby in the back, perfect for storing his Thomas the train stuff.

His sweet little smile is priceless!

Thinking like Drew

Yesterday we were in the car and Drew out of the blue said " I wish I could turn my head all the way around so that I could see my back."
I just thought it was so funny and I always want to remember what he said.

tonight while she sleeps.. .she's 6

The thought of having my little girl turn 7 is almost unreal. I remember vividly the day she was born, the birth I remember the best. Was it because she was my 1st born? Was it because she was the little baby girl I always dreamed of having??? I am not sure why but I am so happy that she came to me and has allowed me to be her mother. So as I went to her room tonight to sneak a peak of her while she was still... still 6, I was taken back at how amazing it is to be a mom and how quickly time flies. Enjoy your moments as a mom... because tonight while she sleeps she's 6 but tomorrow she'll be 7. Before I know it she'll be too cool to kiss me all the time, too old to hold me hand, too big to want to sleep with me when Scott's out of town, and too big and cool to love that I am her mom. Before I know it.. she'll be a mom and I can only hope she loves being a mom as much as I do.

summer part 2

after our fun time in Seattle we came home re-grouped, cleaned clothes, melted in the Arizona heat and then headed up to 2 weeks of fun in McCall Idaho... This is therapy to anyone... this picture explains it all!
