My Sweet little's that are NOT tired!

The kids got an early start this morning and we have been working on school for Kali, playing math games, reading and doing some spelling. Drew and Brig join right in and Drew does him "homework" too. Brig usually just draws on paper.. it's pretty cute that he thinks he doing his part.

After lunch I was feeling a bit tired and told Kali and Drew that they needed to take some quiet time while Brig napped and I worked on more school projects.. They were both VERY adamant that they were not tired and did not need to have any quiet time. So we agreed that I would come and get them in 10 minutes and they could play quietly downstairs or do a craft.... This is what I found in 10 minutes...

*Kali made herself some type of cozy bed*

Not tired eh?

Now I think I will go and take a nap!

GLENN BECK

Last Night we had the honor and privilege of going to see Glenn Beck LIVE. It was honestly inspiring, amazing and made me proud to be an American! He has passion about life. Full of sincerity and emotion. Seriously funny. He could be a comedian. I left there last night wanting to stand out a little stronger for what I believe. Whether it be spiritually, politically or other. I am an ever bigger fan.

Thanks Mom & Kim for the great tickets & Joelle & Mike for sitting with us.. too bad Carma & Greg we a few rows behind us, we didn't get any pictures.

We got to meet Sheriff Joe. He's a pretty nice guy. almost my friend

The night almost got better. We went to Oregano's for some delicious dinner & pazookie! It doesn't get much better than that!

When we got home Scott was immediately online and bought this book.

I am officially a SOCCER MOM!

Soccer started a few weeks ago and the practices have been fun & entertaining to watch, to say the least. Drews coach is the funniest, what can you expect from a bunch of 4 & 5 year olds? He just keeps calling their names with no response, giving a million water breaks.. because they're so tired & HOT and last week practice ended a little early because the attention span was just...well...GONE! Drew is just excited to tell everyone he plays soccer... It's kinda like he is telling everyone he won the lottery! It's fun to see him & Kali practicing and working towards something they are both doing but on different levels and Kali really loves that she can teach Drew something. He is just happy that she's giving him some attention and being really nice!!!

Kali's coach is awesome! Their age group is a little more mature and the kids are able to stay a little more focused on the practice and actually understand "why" they are there. At the first practice they had the kids weren't actually assigned to their teams so it was just a big bunch of kids from ages 6-9ish... and Kali being soooo tall got put with all the older kids they are totally into soccer. She HATED soccer... to say the least. She wanted to quit right then and there and get the money back. After I told her it wasn't an option and that she would some day (hopefully) like it she went back to play the 2nd half of practice/scrimmage and she was the goalie. She came running back with the biggest smile saying how much she loved it because she was sick and tired of rumming and following the older kids around.... Lesson learned.... Tell the coach this is her 1st year and she's only 6!!!
** Kali, Morgan & Belle** Soccer Stars!

That was 2 weeks ago and the kids 1st game was today! Drews team did so good. They played the whole game and Drew got to be the goalie for a little bit. He sure got into it. He dove and caught the ball and was really good. "Eye on the ball" he told me when I told him what an amazing job he did. Now there is something that is just so funny about Drew, he has given himself a soccer name..... T.R., where that came from I have NO IDEA but it is sooooo funny to me! After Kali's game today I told both of them how awesome they were and he said, "yeah way to be T.R." Seriously???

Kali was soo cute! She wanted her hair to be perfectly done. "Not too girly mom, but soccer cool". So we did her hair and she was really good. She got the ball about half field and ran it all the way to the goal, almost making a goal, but then the boy stole the ball before she tried to kick! Dirty Rascal! Kick em in the knee's Kali!

Just kidding. At the end of the game she went to kick the ball and her face landed right on the ball. I thought for sure she was done and really going to cry. Not even a tear! She got right back up and started running. I guess you have to be tough in soccer. When I talked to her tonight about it, how tough that was, she said,"Mom, it didn't really hurt that bad and besides I was scared because I remembered NO HANDS ON THE BALL & and I touched it. But then a kid kicked it and kept running so I didn't get in trouble." Oh Kali, you're so cute and sweet. Good thing you didn't get into trouble OR hurt your face.

The cutest part is that Kali and Drew randomly got the same number 11... 11-11 make a WISH!

Kali & Drew's # 1 fan! Sitting on the sidelines wasn't too bad. It was only 107 today.
